Obverse shows a four-pointed star with crossed swords, laurel wreath, and crown, the center dated 1914-15 with a scroll beneath bearing the Royal Cypher “GV”. Reverse engraved with the recipient’s details.

Condition:
Very good example with attractive patina and light surface wear consistent with age. Engraving clear and legible. Original ribbon shows slight fading but remains complete and stable.

Historical and Collectible Significance:
The 1914-15 Star was instituted in 1918 and awarded to members of British and Imperial forces who served in any theater of war between 5 August 1914 and 31 December 1915, excluding those eligible for the 1914 Star.
Named examples to Royal Marines are desirable and collectible among WWI campaign medal specialists.
