  • Material: White metal or silvered alloy with a natural, aged patina

  • Attachment: Two copper lugs (intact), visible on the reverse, typical for wartime field and side cap use

  • Dimensions: approx. 54.76 mm × 35.51 mm

  • Design: Crowned eagle with raised wings perched on an Amazon-style curved shield with rosettes

Condition:

  • Very good condition for its age – no cracks or damage to the eagle form

  • Clean surface with original patina and minimal wear

Historical Note:
This eagle was issued to soldiers of the Polish Army in Exile, many of whom served under British command in the UK, Middle East, and Italy. The Spink & Son version is considered one of the higher-quality wartime strikes, with well-defined feathers and proportions.

This is a documented and desirable type among collectors of WWII Polish militaria. Referenced in several publications on Polish cap badges from 1939–1945.
